Other known spots around

Tamri

35 min drive south. Beach break, but always biggest around. Even when flat here, you might score some waves in Tamri.

Boilers

40 min drive south. Really close to the rocks, only very experienced surfers. North wind = offshore. Lots of barrels!

Dracula's

Just south of Boilers. Same conditions.

Taghazout

1h drive. Taghazout (Killers, Mistery's, Anchor Point, Hasj Point, Banana Point, K11, ...) is only worth the drive when it's big enough. Imsouane always takes more swell than Taghazout.

Tafadna

50 min drive north. Another beautiful right point break in a remote fishing port. There are also great peaks on the beach down to and beyond the rivermouth.

The Cave / La Grotte

Ten miles south of Essaouira is the Cave or as it is known locally - La Grotte. It is a really good hollow right point on rocks in a rather secluded spot. If you don't have a 4x4, you're facing a 30 min walk.

Sidi Kaouki

75 minute drive north. Punchy beach break, rarely crowded in winter. Also check the river mouth south of the beach for good rights and lefts!

Secrets

Within a 1h drive from Imsouane there are still many spots to discover which will work on different tides. Search and find the pot of gold!

All spots in one map

You can see both bays and the different surf spots. It's the perfect place to check if the surf is up!

The Bay

The Bay starts in the harbor and its waves reach the area in front of the house at mid to high tide.

The Reef

Check out Imsouane's reef view! The Reef is a short lefthander with some shallow parts.

La Cathédrale

Check out the view on 'la Cathédrale', a powerful spot with high waves on the coastline of Imsouane!

The Beach

The Imsouane beach lies between The Reef and La Cathédral and is surfable at all tides. Check it out!
